About Moss Wood
Moss Wood is one of the pioneering wineries of Margaret River, Western Australia, founded in 1969 by Bill and Sandra Pannell. As one of the region’s original wineries, Moss Wood has played an important role in establishing Margaret River as one of Australia’s leading premium wine regions.
The winery is particularly renowned for its Cabernet Sauvignon, with the region’s maritime climate, gravelly soils and long, moderate growing season providing ideal conditions for producing wines of remarkable elegance, structure and longevity.
Moss Wood also produces highly regarded Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Semillon, with each wine reflecting the distinctive character of its vineyard sites and the cool maritime influence of Margaret River.
A strong focus on vineyard quality and traditional craftsmanship has remained central to the Moss Wood philosophy. The winery takes a hands-on approach to viticulture and winemaking, allowing the natural character of the vineyard and vintage to shine through in every bottle.
Today, Moss Wood remains a family-owned winery and continues to be recognised for producing some of Margaret River’s most distinctive and age-worthy wines.
