Nanny Goat
About Nanny Goat
Nanny Goat Vineyard is a renowned New Zealand winery based in Central Otago, one of the world’s southernmost wine regions and a celebrated home of premium Pinot Noir.
Established in 1998, Nanny Goat takes its name from the wild goats that inhabit the rugged hills and mountains surrounding the Central Otago vineyards. The region’s cool continental climate, intense sunlight, low rainfall and dramatic temperature variations create ideal conditions for producing wines with purity, concentration and distinctive character.
Nanny Goat is particularly recognised for its Pinot Noir, which expresses the unique terroir of Central Otago through vibrant fruit, fine tannins, freshness and structure. The winery also produces Pinot Gris, Sauvignon Blanc and Riesling, showcasing the versatility of the region’s cool-climate vineyards.
With a strong connection to the land and a hands-on approach to vineyard management and winemaking, Nanny Goat focuses on producing wines that are expressive, elegant and true to their origin.
Today, Nanny Goat Vineyard continues to capture the adventurous spirit of Central Otago, crafting distinctive New Zealand wines that reflect the rugged landscape and exceptional growing conditions of the region.
