Sidewood
About Sidewood
Sidewood is a premium family-owned winery located in the Adelaide Hills of South Australia, one of Australia’s most renowned cool-climate wine regions. Founded in 2004 by Darryl and Sheryl Catlow, Sidewood has grown from a small family vineyard into a respected producer of premium Australian wines.
The winery is deeply connected to the Adelaide Hills, where cool temperatures, elevation and diverse soils create ideal conditions for producing wines with freshness, elegance and distinctive regional character. Sidewood’s vineyards are located across some of the region’s most prized areas, including Nairne, Oakbank and Mappinga.
Sidewood is particularly known for its Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay, Pinot Gris and Pinot Noir, while also producing premium sparkling and red wines. The winery takes a hands-on approach from vineyard to bottle, with a strong focus on expressing the natural character of each site.
Sustainability is also central to the Sidewood philosophy. The winery is committed to responsible vineyard management and has been recognised for its environmental practices, reflecting a long-term commitment to protecting the land and producing quality wines for future generations.
Today, Sidewood continues to showcase the distinctive character of the Adelaide Hills through wines that combine purity, freshness, balance and contemporary Australian winemaking.
