About Yering Station
Established in 1838, Yering Station is Victoria’s first vineyard and the birthplace of the Yarra Valley wine region. With a winemaking heritage spanning nearly two centuries, the estate has played a pivotal role in shaping Australian cool-climate wine and is recognised as one of the country’s most historic and respected wineries.
Today, Yering Station is owned by the Rathbone family and continues its commitment to producing premium wines that reflect the unique character of the Yarra Valley. The estate’s vineyards are planted with classic cool-climate varieties, including Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, Shiraz, Cabernet Sauvignon and Viognier. Combining meticulous vineyard management with thoughtful winemaking, Yering Station crafts elegant, balanced wines that express both varietal purity and regional terroir.
Beyond its acclaimed wines, Yering Station is also renowned for its historic cellar door, award-winning restaurant and contemporary art gallery, making it one of the Yarra Valley’s most iconic wine destinations.
