The 2022 Yarra Yering Dry Red No. 1 Cabernet Blend 750ml is an iconic Bordeaux-style blend from one of Australia’s most celebrated wineries in the Yarra Valley. Crafted from 80% Cabernet Sauvignon, 11% Merlot, 6% Malbec and 3% Petit Verdot, it is sourced from the estate’s original vineyards planted in 1969. The bouquet reveals expressive aromas of blackcurrant, blueberry, blackberry, bay leaf, cedar, graphite, clove spice and a subtle iodine-like minerality. The palate is powerful yet impeccably balanced, offering concentrated dark berry fruit, savoury herbs, fine French oak and beautifully integrated, fine-grained tannins. Matured for 15 months in French oak barriques (35% new), this elegant and structured Cabernet blend delivers remarkable complexity, freshness and a long, refined finish, with outstanding cellaring potential of 15–20 years or more.
