Once one of the region’s most celebrated vineyards, production ceased in 1921 before being revived by Guill and Katherine de Pury in 1969. Today, winemaker Sandra de Pury leads the winery, working alongside her brother David who manages the vineyard. With some of the oldest vines in the Yarra Valley, Yeringberg continues to produce elegant, age-worthy wines that reflect both heritage and thoughtful custodianship.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eChardonnay is fully destemmed and crushed, with 50% wild fermentation, 30% new hogsheads, 30% malolactic fermentation and 11 months' maturation in barrel with some winter batonnage. A little chalkier and more restrained on the palate than the '22, this very nicely balanced and structured wine should age gracefully over the next five to seven years at least.
