In their youth, vines tend to be more fruit expressive, gaining more complexity around 15-20 years. What began as a youthful expression has evolved to carry greater depth, a silky palate and a refined edge, while remaining wonderfully vibrant.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eFrom its very first vintage in 2003, Crimson has supported the work of Project Crimson, a trust dedicated to protecting and restoring New Zealand’s native red-flowering Rātā and Pōhutukawa trees.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003ch3\u003eWinemaking\u003c\/h3\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eFruit was hand-harvested with the majority destemmed and a small parcel whole bunch fermented. Indigenous yeast fermentation took place in stainless steel tanks before the wine was racked off.
