The 2024 Domaine Leflaive Mâcon-Verzé is a vibrant and elegant Chardonnay that showcases the purity and mineral character of the Mâconnais. Sourced from biodynamically farmed vineyards in the village of Verzé, this wine reflects Domaine Leflaive’s commitment to sustainable viticulture and meticulous winemaking. The grapes are hand-harvested, gently pressed, and fermented in a combination of stainless steel tanks, concrete vessels, large oak foudres, and 600L barrels before extended ageing on fine lees, creating exceptional freshness, texture, and complexity.
The 2024 vintage opens with bright aromas of lemon zest, green apple, white peach, pear, delicate white flowers, and subtle flinty minerality. The palate is crisp yet beautifully rounded, offering lively acidity, a creamy mouthfeel, and a refined mineral finish. Fresh, expressive, and approachable in its youth, this Chardonnay also has the structure to develop gracefully over the next 3–6 years.
