The 2024 Giant Steps Applejack Vineyard Chardonnay comes from the renowned Applejack Vineyard in Gladysdale, in the Upper Yarra Valley of Victoria. Planted in 1997, this high-altitude vineyard benefits from a cool, extended growing season and basalt-based volcanic soils, producing Chardonnay with remarkable purity, structure and length.

The 2024 vintage shows a precise and tightly focused style, with aromas and flavours of white stone fruit, crushed rock and subtle white nougat. The palate is concentrated and energetic, with vibrant acidity and a fine mineral character that gives the wine excellent length and balance.

Applejack Vineyard is one of Giant Steps’ distinctive single-vineyard sites, with its elevated position and carefully managed vines particularly well suited to Chardonnay and Pinot Noir. The combination of cool climate, volcanic soils and low-yielding vines produces wines with both intensity and finesse.

The 2024 Applejack Vineyard Chardonnay has received 96 points from Halliday Wine Companion and 97 points from The Wine Front, highlighting its quality and strong reputation among Australian Chardonnay critics.
