The 2025 Henschke Innes Vineyard Pinot Gris is a premium cool-climate white wine from the Adelaide Hills, crafted by one of Australia’s most respected family wineries, Henschke. Named in honour of the Innes family, dedicated growers of this vineyard for more than 25 years, the wine showcases the purity, texture, and elegance that have made Adelaide Hills Pinot Gris a benchmark style in Australia.

Sourced from the Innes Vineyard at Littlehampton in the Adelaide Hills, the 2025 vintage benefited from a warm, frost-free spring and a mild summer, allowing for excellent fruit development despite one of the driest growing seasons since 2006. The grapes were harvested in early March with outstanding flavour concentration, balance, and aromatic intensity.

Made from 100% Pinot Gris, the wine was fermented in stainless steel and matured on lees for six months with regular stirring, building texture and complexity while preserving freshness and varietal purity. It carries an alcohol level of 13.5% and offers excellent cellaring potential of 15+ years from vintage.

The bouquet is beautifully aromatic, revealing layers of orange blossom, honeysuckle, white peach, nashi pear, lychee, and citrus blossom, complemented by subtle notes of ginger spice, brioche, rose petal, and white flowers. The aromatics are vibrant and expressive, showcasing the cool-climate character of the Adelaide Hills.

On the palate, the wine is rich yet finely balanced, displaying flavours of pear, white nectarine, white peach, and fresh stone fruits, supported by hints of nougat, ginger spice, and creamy lees-derived texture. A bright line of natural acidity provides freshness and precision, creating a wine that is both generous and elegant.

The finish is long, crisp, and intensely flavoured, lingering with notes of pear, citrus blossom, nectarine, and subtle spice. The combination of fruit purity, texture, and acidity makes this an outstanding food wine and a superb example of modern Australian Pinot Gris.

Awarded 93 Points by Mike Bennie in the Halliday Wine Companion, the 2025 Innes Vineyard Pinot Gris has been praised for its bright aromatics, textural complexity, and varietal expression.
