The 2025 Henschke Julius Riesling is a refined, cool-climate Australian white wine from the historic Eden Valley, produced by one of the country’s most respected family wineries, Henschke. It represents a more expressive, textured style of Riesling, sitting alongside the estate’s classic single-vineyard bottlings while offering a slightly broader, more generous palate profile.

Sourced from select Eden Valley vineyards with cool nights and high-altitude sites, the 2025 vintage delivered excellent natural acidity and pristine fruit purity. Careful stainless-steel fermentation preserves the wine’s aromatic intensity and freshness, with minimal intervention to highlight site expression.

The bouquet is aromatic and finely detailed, showing lime blossom, lemon zest, grapefruit, and green apple, layered with subtle notes of white peach, jasmine, honeysuckle, and wet slate minerality. A gentle floral lift adds elegance and perfume.

On the palate, it is dry, precise, and textural, with a slightly more generous mid-palate than leaner Riesling styles. Flavours of lime juice, lemon curd, citrus oil, and crunchy green apple are balanced by a fine line of acidity and a chalky mineral backbone.

The finish is long, clean, and focused, with lingering citrus purity and delicate floral and mineral notes. While enjoyable in its youth for its brightness and aromatics, it also has strong ageing potential, developing honeyed, toasty complexity over time.
