Archie Rose Rye Malt Australian Whisky is a distinctive Australian whisky crafted from malted rye and malted barley, showcasing a refined and aromatic interpretation of rye whisky. Distilled by Archie Rose in Sydney and matured in virgin American oak casks that have been air-dried for 36 months, the whisky develops a rich combination of fruit, vanilla, caramel and spice.

Unlike traditional rye whiskies that commonly use unmalted rye, Archie Rose uses malted rye to create a softer, more layered and expressive character. The spirit is matured in the maritime air of coastal Sydney, allowing the Australian environment to contribute to its distinctive character.

The nose offers an intriguing balance of sweet and savoury aromas, with vanilla éclairs and sherbet followed by sun-dried apricots, muesli and rice pudding. With time in the glass, richer notes of cola, creaming soda and toffee emerge.

On the palate, Archie Rose Rye Malt is smooth, rich and creamy, with flavours reminiscent of peach cobbler, vanilla ice cream and luscious caramel sauce. The malted rye contributes gentle spice and complexity without overpowering the sweeter fruit and oak character.

The finish is lingering and subtly spicy, with caraway seed, sweet spices and a delicate hint of salinity balancing the natural sweetness.
