The Other Wine Co. Pinot Gris 2025 from the Adelaide Hills is a zesty, textural white that’s all about drinkability, freshness and spice, made by the Shaw + Smith team on their home turf. This 2025 The Other Wine Co Pinot Gris is a genuine crowd‑pleaser, especially in warm weather.
Aromas of nashi pear, Packham and Jazz apple, fresh quince, orange blossom and white pepper roll into hints of loquat, yellow melon and subtle ginger jellies. The palate is light yet flavoursome, laden with pear nectar and crisp apple, lemon‑skin citrus, a touch of white‑tea tannin and a long, pithy, refreshing finish.
This The Other Wine Co. Pinot Gris 2025 is spot‑on with silky chawanmushi, sautéed oyster mushrooms, pork dumplings, salt‑and‑pepper squid or simple grilled fish with lemon. It’s also excellent with Vietnamese salads, sushi and soft, bloomy‑rind cheeses at relaxed lunches or easy weeknight dinners.
