The 2019 Ata Rangi McCrone Block Pinot Noir is a powerful yet finely detailed single-vineyard expression from Martinborough, showcasing depth, structure, and exceptional ageing potential. Produced by the renowned Ata Rangi, McCrone Block is one of the estate’s most revered sites, known for delivering Pinot Noir of concentration, savoury complexity, and long-term cellaring ability.

The McCrone Block vineyard is planted on free-draining, stony soils that naturally limit vine vigour and yield small, intensely flavoured berries. The 2019 vintage provided outstanding growing conditions, allowing full phenolic ripeness while retaining freshness and precision—ideal for a site of this calibre.

In the winery, grapes were hand-harvested and fermented using traditional methods, with careful extraction to build structure without sacrificing elegance.
