Delas Saint-Joseph François de Tournon is a powerful yet elegant Syrah from the Northern Rhône, made by Delas Frères. It’s drawn from vineyards on the right bank of the Rhône (including Vion, Saint-Jean-de-Muzols, Mauves and Tournon), rooted in soils of schist and gneiss over a granite bedrock.

Winemaking is traditional: hand-harvested grapes, cold pre-fermentation maceration, followed by fermentation in open concrete vats at ~28–30 °C, with daily remontage and punch-downs for about 10 days, and a total maceration of up to 20 days.

After fermentation, the wine is aged for 10–14 months in oak (1- to 3-year-old barrels), with a portion kept in vats to preserve freshness.

Tasting profile:

• Color: Deep, dark ruby red. 

• Aroma: Delicate cassis (blackcurrant) and spicy notes.

• Palate: Rich and voluptuous texture, yet supported by fine, silky tannins. 

• Structure: Well balanced with good structure, offering great aging potential.
