At Kaesler, we believe Barossa Cabernet Sauvignon is an underappreciated gem of the region. With meticulous care, Barossa Cabernets can be exceptional, and our Kaesler Cabernet Sauvignon exemplifies this.
Vintage Conditions
The 2021 vintage was simply ‘Brilliantâ€? Barossa enjoyed cool and dry conditions, resulting in excellent quality reds and whites. Outstanding growing conditions combined with good yields made for a memorable harvest, with wines exhibiting a wide range of aromas and flavors. The reds, with their soft, supple tannins, are delightful in their youth and promise great rewards with careful cellaring. The highlight of 2021 was the overall quality, making it a genuine 10/10 season.
Winemaking
Hand-harvested at peak ripeness from estate vineyards, the fruit is fermented separately on skins for 9 days at temperatures between 19-28°C. The wine is then pressed into stainless steel tanks to dry. Malolactic fermentation occurs in new and one-year-old French oak barriques for 20 months, with monthly topping.

Bouquet: Complex aromas of blackberry, plum, kirsch, vanilla, and lavender with hints of spicy sandalwood oak.
Palate: Full-bodied with rich, intense black fruit flavors that blend into chalky tannins. The wine’s complex structure suggests it will age gracefully for many years.
