100% Estate Grown Chardonnay sourced from our high density planted vineyards planted at 7700 �9615 vines/ha, totalling 9 different, low yielding chardonnay clones (less than 500gms/vine).
Handpicked at 11.2 â€?11.5° baumè, and whole bunch pressed to tank without enzymes. Wild fermented in French Oak barrels varying from 130 litre to 600 litres in size. Full malolactic fermentation and 12 months maturation. Blended after 12 months and settled in tank for six months for natural clarification and integration prior to bottling without fining or filtration, in November 2022.
Nectarine and grapefruit pith, some lightly grilled nuts roll out as a first impression and confirmation the expression of nature through the vineyard has been shaped by deft hands. Then the intriguing undercurrents emerge. Aloe and oyster shell. This is a wine that’s been allowed to explore far horizons without ever losing sight of home.
It’s composed and finely balanced, fruit and acid in sync across the palate, drive and energy in abundance.
