Grosset Gaia from the cooler 2022 vintage shows impressive generosity and balance the hallmarks of this wine for more than three decades. This is a cabernet sauvignon (with a small amount of cabernet franc) offering dark berry aromas, vibrant bramble characters and a classic blackcurrant palate. From a tiny crop barely half a kilogram per vine this is a wine of intensity, power, and promise. Yet, as a young cabernet, its generously flavoured almost silky palate invites one to sip more. While its youthfulness is most evident with a late firmness, all is beautifully balanced; such is the trademark of this wine.
