First released in 1964 under Max Schubert’s pioneering vision, it was Australia’s first commercial Cabernet‑based wine. The 2023 vintage continues the legacy—ripe, multi-regional fruit fermented and matured in new oak for maximum depth and longevity.
Crafted from parcels across McLaren Vale, Coonawarra, Barossa Valley, and Padthaway, the 2023 sees fermentation completed and maturation undertaken primarily in new oak, giving the wine its signature intensity and structure. Presented in a sleek gift box, it's built for collectors and Cabernet connoisseurs who value bold flavours and cellar potential.
