2022 Jim Barry LoosenBarry Wolta Wolta Dry Riesling 750ml is a distinctive collaboration between the Barry family of Jim Barry Wines and renowned German Riesling producer Ernst Loosen. Combining Clare Valley fruit with German winemaking traditions, Wolta Wolta offers a richer and more textural interpretation of Australian Riesling.

Sourced from Block 18 of the Lodge Hill Vineyard in the Clare Valley, the vineyard was planted in 1979 and benefits from a cooler site that allows extended hang time and excellent flavour development. The 2022 vintage was matured on yeast lees in a 3,000-litre German oak Fuder, contributing texture, complexity and depth.

The wine shows expressive aromas of Asian pear, peach, white nectarine, lemon and kaffir lime, alongside oyster shell, slate, white flowers and subtle struck-match notes. The palate is taut and energetic, with racy acidity, fine phenolic grip, saline minerality and a long, dry finish.

The 2022 vintage was awarded 96 points by James Suckling, while Wine Advocate rated it 97+ points, highlighting its focus, texture, freshness and ageing potential.
