The 2025 Red Claw Pinot Noir is a vibrant and approachable cool-climate Pinot Noir from Victoria’s Mornington Peninsula, crafted by Red Claw Wines, the acclaimed second label of Yabby Lake Vineyard. Designed to showcase the region’s renowned Pinot Noir character in a youthful and expressive style, Red Claw delivers exceptional quality and value from one of Australia’s premier cool-climate wine regions.

The 2025 vintage benefited from favourable growing conditions across the Mornington Peninsula, allowing the fruit to ripen slowly while retaining freshness, aromatic lift, and natural acidity. Carefully selected vineyard parcels were harvested at optimal maturity to capture purity of fruit and regional expression.

The fruit was gently destemmed and fermented in small batches before maturation in French oak barrels, with limited new oak influence to preserve freshness and varietal character. The winemaking approach focuses on balance, drinkability, and the bright fruit profile that defines Mornington Peninsula Pinot Noir.

The bouquet is lifted and fragrant, revealing aromas of red cherry, wild strawberry, raspberry, and cranberry, complemented by subtle notes of rose petal, spice, orange zest, and dried herbs. Delicate savoury undertones add complexity without overshadowing the fruit.

On the palate, the wine is medium-bodied, silky, and energetic. Flavours of red berries, cherry, raspberry, and plum skin are supported by fine tannins and refreshing acidity. The wine displays impressive purity and balance, offering immediate enjoyment while retaining varietal elegance.
