GlenDronach 1993 29 Year Old Single Cask #678 is an extraordinarily rare and highly collectible Highland single malt Scotch whisky from the acclaimed The GlenDronach Distillery. Distilled in 1993 and matured for 29 years before being bottled at a natural cask strength of 58.20% ABV, this exceptional single cask release showcases the depth, intensity, and elegance that have made GlenDronach one of Scotland’s most respected sherried whisky producers.

Drawn from a single cask with no colouring or chill filtration, every bottle reflects the unique characteristics developed during nearly three decades of maturation. The long ageing period has produced an exceptionally rich and complex whisky with remarkable concentration and balance.

The nose is intensely aromatic, revealing layers of raisins, dates, black cherries, dark chocolate, espresso, polished oak, orange peel, and warming baking spices. On the palate, it is powerful yet refined, delivering rich flavours of fruitcake, treacle, dried figs, cocoa, roasted nuts, cinnamon, clove, and sweet sherry influence. The elevated cask strength enhances the whisky’s structure and depth while maintaining exceptional smoothness for its age.

The finish is extraordinarily long and luxurious, with lingering notes of dark chocolate, espresso, dried fruit, oak spice, and rich sherry sweetness. Produced in extremely limited quantities, Single Cask #678 is a prized addition to any serious whisky collection and a superb example of mature GlenDronach craftsmanship.
