The 2016 Clarendon Hills Astralis Syrah is one of Australia’s most iconic and sought-after single-vineyard wines. Produced by Clarendon Hills in South Australia’s renowned McLaren Vale region, Astralis has earned an international reputation for its extraordinary concentration, complexity, and longevity. The 2016 vintage showcases the power and elegance that have made this flagship Syrah a benchmark for premium Australian wine.

Hand-harvested from low-yielding vineyards and matured for approximately 18 months in new French oak, the wine displays remarkable depth and structure. The nose is intensely aromatic, revealing layers of blackberry, dark cherry, black liquorice, mocha, violets, dried herbs, and subtle earthy notes. On the palate, it is full-bodied and richly concentrated, delivering flavours of black fruits, dark chocolate, espresso, spice, and savoury oak, supported by fine yet powerful tannins and exceptional balance.
