The 2021 Penfolds Bin 95 Grange Shiraz Lunar New Year Gift Box is a limited-edition presentation of one of Australia’s most iconic wines. Crafted from premium fruit sourced across South Australia’s renowned Barossa Valley, McLaren Vale and Clare Valley, the 2021 Grange comprises 94% Shiraz and 6% Cabernet Sauvignon and is bottled at 14.5% ABV.

The 2021 vintage benefited from cooler growing conditions, which encouraged slow and even ripening and produced exceptional parcels of Shiraz. Grange follows Penfolds’ traditional winemaking approach, including maturation in predominantly new American oak, building its signature combination of concentrated fruit, spice, oak complexity and firm, age-worthy tannins.

Deep mauve-red in colour with an almost impenetrable core, the wine displays an intense and complex bouquet of dark chocolate, blackberry, plum, liquorice, savoury meat, balsamic and exotic spice. The palate is powerful yet precise, layered with dark fruits, chocolate, espresso and savoury oak, while finely structured tannins provide exceptional length and longevity. Penfolds lists a peak drinking window of 2027–2060, although leading critics expect the wine to develop beautifully for several decades beyond its early drinking window.

The special Lunar New Year Year of the Horse gift box adds considerable presentation and collectability. The box incorporates a traditional paper-cutting concept and includes a limited-edition Year of the Horse keychain, making this release particularly suitable for gifting, collectors and Lunar New Year celebrations.
