The 2015 Allegrini Fieramonte Amarone Classico Riserva DOCG is the flagship Amarone from the historic Allegrini estate, representing one of the most powerful and prestigious expressions of traditional Valpolicella winemaking. Produced only in exceptional vintages, Fieramonte is sourced from a high-altitude, south-facing single vineyard in the Classico zone of Valpolicella.

The 2015 vintage is considered outstanding, delivering exceptional concentration, structure, and ageing potential. The grapes—primarily Corvina, Corvinone, Rondinella, and Oseleta—are carefully hand-selected and undergo the traditional appassimento process, where they are air-dried for several months to concentrate sugars, aromatics, and tannins before fermentation.

Winemaking is long and meticulous: after drying, grapes are gently pressed and fermented slowly, followed by extended maturation of around 48 months in French oak barriques, then additional ageing in large Slavonian oak and bottle refinement. This long élevage builds both power and refinement.

The bouquet is intensely layered and deeply expressive, showing dried black cherry, plum compote, and fig, alongside complex notes of dark chocolate, espresso, tobacco leaf, and sweet spice. With air, savoury elements of leather, dried herbs, balsamic, and earthy undertones emerge, adding remarkable depth.

On the palate, the wine is full-bodied, dense, and structured, with rich flavours of black cherry liqueur, raisin, blackberry, and dark plum. Despite its opulence, it is supported by firm yet polished tannins and a lifted acidity that provides balance and length.

The finish is extraordinarily long and persistent, unfolding with cocoa, coffee, dried fruit, spice, and savoury earth notes. While already complex, this wine is built for long-term cellaring and will continue evolving over 20–30+ years, gaining additional tertiary complexity and silkier integration.
