The 2023 Nanny Goat Vineyard Super Nanny Pinot Noir is a premium Central Otago Pinot Noir showcasing the intensity, elegance and distinctive character of New Zealand’s southernmost wine region.

The wine opens with bright aromas of raspberry, blueberry and redcurrant, layered with toasted brown spice, dried earth and subtle herbal notes. On the palate, vibrant wild berry, red cherry and tamarillo flavours are complemented by hints of cola and toasted spice, creating depth and complexity while retaining excellent freshness.

Hand-picked fruit was predominantly destemmed and fermented naturally in small open-top fermenters, with selected ferments incorporating whole bunches. The wine spent 24–32 days on skins before being pressed to oak for maturation. Fine-grained tannins provide a sinewy structure through the palate, while lively acidity maintains freshness and drives the wine towards a long, savoury finish.

The 2023 Super Nanny combines generous Central Otago fruit with a cool, structured palate and refined tannins. It is an elegant yet powerful Pinot Noir with excellent cellaring potential.
