2026 Grosset Alea Riesling 750ml
The 2026 Grosset Alea Riesling is a distinctive single-site Riesling from Grosset’s Rockwood Vineyard in the Clare Valley, showcasing a fascinating European-inspired expression of the variety.
Alea originates from a small section of Rockwood Vineyard planted on hard red rock with poor orange-red topsoil. Jeffrey Grosset was intrigued by the site’s potential to produce a Riesling with a more European character, and the vineyard has become the exclusive source of Alea.
The wine displays the classic Alea profile of intense lime and lemon citrus, combined with remarkable mid-palate depth, freshness and mineral complexity. Its distinctive terroir contributes structure and tension, while the wine maintains the purity and finesse that define Grosset’s approach to Riesling.
Produced from biodynamically grown Riesling, the wine is made without fining and is suitable for vegan and vegetarian drinkers. Grosset’s vineyards and winery are A-Grade Certified Organic and Biodynamic.
