The 2026 Grosset Polish Hill Riesling is one of Australia’s most celebrated Rieslings and a benchmark expression of the variety from the renowned Clare Valley. Produced by Grosset Wines, this iconic wine is sourced exclusively from the organically certified Polish Hill Vineyard, a unique high-altitude site known for its slate-rich soils, low yields, and exceptional ability to produce Rieslings of remarkable purity, structure, and longevity.

The 2026 vintage continues the wine’s reputation for precision and elegance. A favourable growing season delivered fruit with intense flavour concentration while retaining the vibrant natural acidity that is the hallmark of great Polish Hill Riesling. The result is a wine of extraordinary tension, minerality, and ageing potential.

Produced using Grosset’s meticulous minimal-intervention philosophy, the fruit is hand-selected, gently pressed, and cool fermented to preserve its delicate aromatics and vineyard expression. No oak is used, allowing the purity of fruit and site character to shine through.

The bouquet is intensely aromatic and refined, revealing layers of lime zest, kaffir lime, green apple, lemon blossom, and white flowers, supported by distinctive notes of wet slate, crushed rock, and mineral freshness. The aromatic profile is both delicate and powerful, unfolding beautifully in the glass.

On the palate, the wine is dry, focused, and exceptionally precise, with flavours of lime juice, lemon, green apple, and citrus pith carried by vibrant acidity and a tightly wound mineral backbone. The texture is fine and linear, delivering remarkable clarity and balance.

The finish is exceptionally long, pure, and mouth-watering, lingering with notes of lime, citrus blossom, slate, and saline minerality. While captivating in its youth, the 2025 Polish Hill Riesling is built for long-term cellaring and is expected to evolve gracefully over 15–25 years, developing the complex toast, honey, and kerosene nuances that define great aged Riesling.
