2023 Soumah Equilibrio Chardonnay 750ml
From the cool-climate Yarra Valley in Victoria, the 2023 Soumah Equilibrio Chardonnay represents the premium end of Soumah’s Chardonnay range. The Equilibrio series is created from the winery’s best barrels, clonal selections and carefully integrated new oak, with the aim of expressing the finest potential of each vintage. Soumah describes the range as its Reserve-style expression, with an emphasis on harmony and balance.
The 2023 vintage offers tight, expressive aromatics of grapefruit and nectarine, complemented by subtle toasted oak and distinctive struck-match notes. On the palate, it is youthful and focused, combining citrus and stone-fruit flavours with a creamy texture, lively acidity and restrained oak. The finish is fresh, elegant and persistent.
This is a refined example of modern Yarra Valley Chardonnay—fresh and mineral-driven while retaining texture and complexity. The wine is enjoyable now but has the structure and balance to develop further in bottle over many years.
