Ruinart Second Skin Blanc de Blancs celebrates the sustainably focused winemaking methods of the maison. Encased in a new type of paper box made from responsibly farmed trees, it contains no plastic. Blended from the harvest of various years to ensure consistent quality, this blanc de blancs champagne is a classic example of the style – smooth with a characteristic luminosity. Intensely aromatic and fresh, Ruinart Blanc de Blancs is the maison’s signature champagne, created with 100% chardonnay from terroirs in Côte des Blancs and Montagne de Reims. Blended from the harvest of various years to ensure consistent quality, this blanc de blancs champagne is a classic example of the style – smooth with a characteristic luminosity.
Ruinart carefully cultivates its vines, respecting ancestral traditions. Three grape varieties make up the blends of its cuvées: chardonnay, the Maison’s emblem, pinot Noir and pinot Meunier. The grapes come mainly from the Côte des Blancs, where chardonnay is king, and from the northern slopes of the Montagne de Reims. Here, the grapes benefit from optimal sunshine, cultivated on chalky soils that perfectly regulate the vines’ water status. This terroir produces taut, chiselled, powerful wines.
