The 2025 Little Yering Chardonnay is a vibrant and approachable cool-climate Chardonnay crafted by Yering Station, one of the oldest and most respected wineries in the Yarra Valley. As part of the acclaimed Little Yering range, this wine offers exceptional value while showcasing the freshness, elegance, and varietal purity that have made Yarra Valley Chardonnay one of Australia’s most celebrated white wine styles.

Sourced from premium vineyard sites throughout the Yarra Valley, the 2025 vintage enjoyed favourable growing conditions that encouraged slow, even ripening. The region’s cool climate allowed the fruit to develop concentrated flavours while maintaining bright acidity and natural balance.

Following harvest, the fruit was gently pressed and fermented using a combination of stainless steel tanks and French oak barrels. Lees maturation enhanced texture and complexity, while restrained oak influence ensured the fruit remained the focal point of the wine.

The bouquet is fresh and expressive, offering aromas of white peach, nectarine, lemon zest, grapefruit, and citrus blossom, supported by subtle notes of cashew, almond meal, oatmeal, and delicate spice. Hints of minerality add further elegance and lift.

On the palate, the wine is medium-bodied, crisp, and beautifully balanced, with flavours of stone fruit, citrus, green apple, and grapefruit supported by lively natural acidity. A subtle creamy texture from lees contact provides depth while maintaining freshness and vibrancy.

The finish is clean, refreshing, and persistent, lingering with notes of citrus zest, white peach, roasted nuts, and mineral freshness. Designed to be enjoyed young, the wine also has the structure to evolve gracefully over the next few years.
